Musicians, dancers, actors, performing and fine artists are extremely sensitive and responsive to the events happening in the world. They are leaders in their community and express their views and feelings through the art form more than politicians in words. We believe our students are becoming these leaders. They discipline themselves through practicing and learn leadership skills performing together.
Unfortunately there are so many people with limited means to provide their children with performing arts education and experience. Especially, our heart is with Ukrainian people who suffer now a terrible war and have to flee their homes for a safety. Recently the Washington Metropolitan area welcomed many Ukrainians with children who went to music and dance schools in their home but had to escape the war. We want these children to get some sense of normalcy by welcoming them into our DCMA family on a scholarship basis.
