The chamber music classes could be taken as supplementals to the individual lessons or separately. Chamber music classes are 60 min long on a weekly basis with semester long enrollment. Often described as “music played by friends”, chamber music has a vital importance in the journey of a young musician. Performing with an ensemble has many advantages and offers numerous opportunities: improved technique and musical understanding, a wide range of performance opportunities and exposure to new and different styles of music. In chamber music each participant is equally important. Through collaboration with other participants students elevate their solo and orchestral playing abilities simultaneously. In addition to building confidence and teamwork skills, the students develop a significant sense of pitch, rhythm, and music harmony. Our students have the opportunity to play together as duets, string and piano trios, quartets, and DCMA Chamber Orchestra. Chamber orchestra includes only upper intermediate and advanced level players.
